The Lament of the Cloud

The Lament of the Cloud

The sleepy Moon peeped out of the soft Cloud and the Cloud looked at it sorrowfully. The Moon has suffered long and hard in the callous hands of the vehement Sun. Such has been his fate since his grievous parting with his diligent mother Theia.

The Earth offered no help, but spoke tender words of comfort, and the Cloud had a feeling that she could do no more, just like the Moon couldn’t escape from this arduous cycle. The Moon didn’t even have a protective coat of armor like the Earth did, the beings on Earth called it ‘atmosphere’.

Even the Asteroids showed no mercy on the Moon and often beat him. The beings on Earth knew not of the manipulating, merciless Sun, for they loved him. The Cloud often wept for the terrible fate of the Moon, until he was out of tears. T

Then, he ran to the loving arms of his mother, the Sea, and stayed with her in her magnificent abode until it was time to leave and meet the Moon again.
