Night Walk
I see trees dancing in the wind,
I was walking on a colorful blanket of
Red, orange, yellow, green and gold leaves,
Smelling the moisture of this beautiful fall.
And as I was walking I felt the
warmth of my mom’s hand like a cozy
mitten that you would wear on a winter day.
Suddenly, I felt something going up my back.
The wind has brushed my hair gently.
I hear my rain boots squelching in the puddles.
The acrid smoke from the neighbor’s fire
pitt is a hiss of BBQ.
All of a sudden, I see two glowing red eyes staring at me.
I felt the Mona Lisa effect on me.
Those eyes followed me home.
