To kids like us who are chess enthusiast Anand is not just a grandmaster, he’s a hero whose moves on the chessboard inspire us to think, strategize, and dream big.

Viswanathan Anand, affectionately known as “Vishy” was born on 11 December 1969 in Mayiladuthurai, India. Like many of us, he discovered the magic of chess at a young age, when his mother taught him the moves of the pieces. Little did he know that those initial lessons would set the stage for a remarkable journey in the world of chess.

As kids, we often find ourselves facing challenges—be it in school, sports, or simply trying to solve a tricky puzzle.
