Our Forest

Our Forest

A forest stood tall and so grand
Home to creatures so unique across the land

But the humans with their machines
Destroyed it all, no second means

The trees were gone, the ground was bare
The animals left without a lair

The land was left with no defense
Against the change that made no sense

The climate changed, the heat soared high
The rain stopped, the land began to dry

The world was left with a warning sign
Of the danger of our own design
