If I Had Been Vikram Batra

If I had been Vikram Batra,
the pride of nation.

Protection of the glory of my country,
would have my passion.

I would have been always ready,
to serve my country.

It would have been my prime duty,
not complementary.

I would have done it not for,
fame or for name.

But for the freedom of our nation,
as a gain. 

What if I would have died,
in serving my country?

I would have taken birth again and again,
to protect my country.
