The Mysterious Jungle – 3
“So, when Shreya touched the Peepal tree, she mistakenly touched a voodoo doll with her feet. Priya
said, ‘I think you are paralyzed because the voodoo doll has negativity’
Shreya replied, ‘I think so too, but what can I do?’
Tanvi said, ‘You can do a ritual’
Riddhi added, ‘But the ritual must happen in a holy place in India’
They decided to go to Prayagraj, where three rivers meet at a center point.
‘So, it is best to do the ritual there,’ everyone agreed.
The next morning came, and they were all ready to go to the station to reach Prayagraj. They arrived
in Prayagraj at 3:00 AM.
Then, they booked a hotel near the railway station and reached it at 4:00 AM. When they arrived at
the hotel, they asked for the key to their room, which was room number 777.
When the sun rose, they were ready to go outside to the nearby riverbank, where the three rivers
meet at the center point.
Once they found out exactly where to go, they reached the center point, and Shreya lit an oil lamp.
Since she had to perform the ritual with complete devotion and spirituality, they looked for a Pandit to guide Shreya on exactly what to do.
The Pandit was ready to help them, and Shreya did exactly what he said.
He told her to chant the Gayatri Mantra 108 times:
‘Om Bhur Bhuva Swaha, Tatsavitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devak Swadheemahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah
Prachodayat.’
After she completed the chanting, the Pandit told her to take a holy dip 11 times at the center point.
They all reached the Veni Madhav temple. There, the Pandit told her that she would have to light an
oil lamp alone and chant the Gayatri Mantra seven times. Once this ritual is completed, she must
bring a small amount of soil from the middle of the river center point and apply it as a tilak on her
forehead. After that, Shreya’s friends and Pandit came out of the temple.
They waited for her near the temple gate. Pandit had told Shreya to stay alone inside the temple and
chant the Gayatri Mantra eleven times with full devotion. Shreya followed his instructions carefully.
She sat quietly in the temple and completed the chant all by herself. She also carried the lighted diya
around the temple as instructed. When she finally came out, she felt a strong sense of positivity and
peace. It was as if all her fear had disappeared.
Seeing this, Pandit smiled and said, “This happened because you completed the prayer with true
devotion and spirituality. Your faith has made you stronger.”
Pandit then told everyone that they would soon go to the center point to collect some soil for the final part of the ritual.
After some time, Shreya’s friends and Pandit went to get something to eat. Shreya stayed behind
because she was not allowed to eat anything before the ritual was completed.
While waiting, Shreya suddenly noticed a dark shadow in the distance. For a moment, she froze.
Then she thought that it was probably just her imagination. She tried to ignore it and walked forward.
However, she still felt a little nervous. When Pandit returned, he noticed the worried look on her face
and asked, “What happened? Why do you still look concerned?”
Shreya replied, “I still feel a little negative. I thought I saw a shadow again.”
Pandit listened carefully and said, “Do not worry. After the last part of the ritual, all of this will be over.”
Shreya nodded and said, “Maybe you are right. This time I only saw it for a moment.”
When they reached the center point, Shreya collected some mud. Pandit then said, “First, this mud
must be made divine. Offer it to God and apply a small tilak to God. After that, you will put the same
tilak on your forehead. It will help you stay positive and strong.”
After collecting the mud, they returned to the Veni Madhav Temple. Shreya offered the mud to God
and applied a small tilak with it. She folded her hands and prayed, “Hey Bhagwan, please remove this
negativity from my life and bless me with positive energy.”
Pandit then told her to apply the tilak on her forehead. Shreya followed his instructions.
As soon as she applied the tilak, she saw the dark shadow once again. For a moment, she became
frightened. But this time, something was different. The shadow slowly faded away and disappeared
completely.
Shreya could hardly believe her eyes. The heavy feeling in her heart was gone. She felt calm, happy,
and full of positive energy. Everything seemed perfect at that moment. But destiny wanted something else for Shreya…”
