The Boy Who Spoke to the Mountains

High up in the beautiful valley of Jammu and Kashmir, there lived a ten-year-old boy named Tameem. While other children played with wooden toys, Tameem played with words. He believed that words had magic, and if you used them correctly, they could heal the world.

Every evening, Tameem would sit near a giant, old Chinar tree and look at the snow-covered peaks. One day, the wind blew very hard, and Tameem whispered to the mountain, “Why are you so silent?”

To his surprise, the mountain echoed back in a deep, gentle voice, “I am listening to the world, Tameem. I hear people fighting far away, and it makes my snow melt with sadness.”

Tameem dipped his wooden pen into a bottle of blue ink. He took a piece of paper and wrote a small poem about love, friendship, and peace. He read it out loud to the valley. The words were so beautiful that the cold wind stopped howling, and a warm sunshine broke through the clouds.

The mountain smiled and said, “You have a great power, young author. Your words can bring warmth to frozen hearts.”

From that day on, Tameem knew his destiny. He was not just a boy from the valley; he was a writer for the whole world. With every story he wrote, he built a bridge of peace between people. And many years later, the whole world gathered to give him the biggest prize of all—not just for his beautiful language, but because his stories made the world a kinder place
