The Clever Rabbit and the Proud Dragon

Once upon a time, in a deep and mysterious forest, there lived a fierce dragon who loved to eat flesh. All the animals trembled whenever they heard the powerful beat of his wings or saw the smoke rising from his fiery breath.

One bright morning, a clever little rabbit decided that the forest had suffered enough. Gathering his courage, he hopped bravely toward the dragon’s cave.

“If you wish to eat me,” said the rabbit calmly, “you must first come with me to meet our king.”

The dragon laughed loudly. “Who dares to command me?” he roared. But his pride was stirred, and he agreed to follow the rabbit.

The rabbit led him to the mighty lion — the true king of the forest, who was far stronger than the dragon. The dragon did not know this.

As soon as the dragon tried to attack, the lion swiftly struck him on the neck with a powerful paw.

“Ouch!” cried the dragon in shock.

The rabbit spoke firmly, “Be careful. Our king is the strongest in the whole world.” The dragon’s eyes widened.

“Why didn’t you tell me he was so strong?” he asked, trembling.
“Sorry, Your Majesty,” the dragon said to the lion, bowing his head respectfully.

The lion looked at him wisely and said, “It is alright. But tell me, will you continue harming innocent animals, or will you choose peace?”

The dragon hesitated. His pride slowly melted away. “I only wanted to prove I was the strongest,” he admitted.

“Strength is not about fighting,” said the lion. “True strength lies in protecting others.”

The dragon lowered his head in shame. “I understand now,” he said softly. “From today onwards, I will not harm anyone.”

The rabbit smiled proudly. His clever plan had worked. Peace returned to the forest, and the animals no longer lived in fear.

From that day on, the dragon chose kindness over cruelty, and the forest flourished in harmony once again.
