My Diwali Vacation
Diwali vacation is here, oh what fun,
Days full of joy, shining like the sun!
We cleaned the house bright and neat,
Hung up lanterns and lights, so pretty and sweet.
New clothes to wear, all shining bright,
Sparklers dancing, lighting up the night.
Ladoos, Karanjee and Barfis, so much yum,
I ate too much, till my tummy was plum.
We made rangolis colourful and wide,
Mom said I did great and she was full of pride.
We visited friends and shared happy cheer,
Diwali’s the best time of the year!
The fireworks boom and zoom in the sky,
Like stars bursting and saying goodbye.
I wish Diwali would never end,
A time to celebrate with every friend!
