A Message from the Future
One morning, I found a mysterious letter on my desk. It was addressed to me, but the date on it was from the year 2050. The letter showed Earth covered in trash and pollution and asked me to plant trees and save the planet before it was too late.
After a while, I went outside and saw some people spreading pollution. I went there and told them, “Please do not spread pollution because the planet is dying.” But they didn’t listen.
After that, I saw children throwing trash everywhere. I went there, took them to their parents, and told them about the kids throwing trash. The parents said, “OK,” and then I left.
Next, I remembered that the letter said, “Plant more trees.” So I went to a park and saw that all the trees were cut down. I started planting more trees. While I was planting, I saw more trash, so I went and picked it all up. I got really tired, so I slept in the park—but it was a big, big mistake.
When I woke up, I started hearing noises, so I followed the sound. It led me to people cutting down trees. I quickly went there and said, “Stop deforestation!”
The people said, “Why?”
I replied, “Because if you cut down trees, animals will die, and you are also harming the Earth!”
The workers said, “OK, you’re right. We’ll stop.”
After that, I continued planting trees. While I was planting, the same pollution truck came towards me, and the people inside said, “You were right. We will stop polluting because it can cause many diseases, like breathing problems. We have learned our lesson.”
I said, “Thank you.”
Finally, I did everything written in the letter, and I helped save the Earth. Just like I did, please do not spread pollution, cut down trees, or throw trash everywhere.
