World Environment Day

I love the trees, the sky and the sea,
The birds that chirp and the buzzing bee.

The wind that blows and the rain that falls,
The rainbow stretching wide and tall.

But now I see the Earth is sad,
The air is dirty and the water’s bad.

The forests shrink and the ice is melting fast,
If we don’t act sadly this won’t long last.

I don’t have power for I’m just a kid,
But I can change things surely I did!

I planted trees and I picked up trash,
I turned off lights in just a flash.

If we all help in what we do,
The Earth will smile so bright and true.

So this World Environment Day,
Let’s promise not to throw Earth away!
