The River Stream

The River Stream - Poem - Little Authors

The River Stream

Swishing & swirling goes the water
of a narrow river stream
from a little waterfall there
the sight seems like a phinix’s dream.

Among the lap of mountains
covered with a blanket of snow
down its feet
the river does flow.

Taking the silts & pebbles
it runs down the way
quickly & swiftly it goes
till the river reached the plain.

Then it goes slowly
decreasing its pace
for the river’s in its middle age
& has no mood to race.

Languidly it moves
to approach the sea
but mind you it has more duties
the river isn’t entirely free.

That river stream forms a delta, land for all
in the last bit of its life
and then blissfully ends itself, merges with the sea
after making this great sacrifice.
