Leftovers

Leftovers - English Poem - Little Authors - littleauthors.in

Leftovers

In the fridge, there is only rice,
I think it needs a little more spice.

When I lifted the curd,
The cat outside purred.

I was sipping on a glass of juice,
when I thought of eating chocolate mousse.

I think I’ll have a salad with tomatoes,
But then I thought of adding potatoes.

I will also add peppers, peas and corn,
But everything just went wrong.

Then, I thought I had mango ice-cream,
But turns out it was just a dream.

I don’t have anything to eat which I regret over,
Those are the things in my fridge, mostly just leftovers.
