The Secret Time Portal

Chapter – 1

In the city of Delhi lived a girl, Aditi.

Summer vacations were about to start, and Aditi’s parents decided to send her to a summer camp where she could learn, make new friends, and have fun.

A few days later…

Aditi started packing her suitcase. She packed clothes, books, a mini camera, and many more things.

As Aditi’s parents dropped her off at the summer camp, Aditi couldn’t help but feel happy. She was very excited to make new friends and do fun activities.

As Aditi was settling in her room, she met five new kids!

Their names were…

Rohan
Naina
Mohan
Bhoomika
Aryan

The six started introducing themselves and quickly became great friends.

Soon, they had to attend their activities…

As they reached the main area, the camp leader said,
“Everybody! Get into groups of six people!!”

After everyone grouped up, the camp leader continued,
“So everybody has to find items on the list which you will be given. These items are scattered around the camp and you have 30 minutes. The first group to return with all the items wins a chocolate!”

Every group received a list of 6 items:

• A tiny shell
• A red berry
• A bird feather
• A smooth rock
• A flower
• And lastly… a stick shaped like the letter Y

As the activity started…

Aditi and her group began searching.

Rohan said,
“Everybody, I found a feather!”

Everyone was surprised and happy.

Slowly, the group gathered almost every item…

But they were stuck with the last one.

A stick shaped like the letter Y.

As they searched…

Bhoomika suddenly said,
“Guys… look what I found…”

The group gathered around and was shocked…

It was a stone…

Not any regular stone…

A perfectly round stone, glowing in purple and blue.

Aryan said,
“The camp probably did this to distract us. Just throw it away and let’s find the last item.”

As Bhoomika threw the stone on the ground…

A strong force suddenly pulled her back!

The stone opened up into a portal…

It started pulling everyone in…

The group tried to run…

But the force became stronger…

One by one…

They were sucked inside…

And as the last person disappeared…

The portal closed…

And turned back into a stone.

 

Chapter – 2

The group fell—

And landed in a desert.

Endless sand everywhere…

Rohan said,
“It’s all your fault, Bhoomika!”

Bhoomika replied,
“Well, I didn’t know that the rock would turn into a portal!”

Before the argument continued, Naina stepped in,
“Let’s not fight! We’re all scared, but fighting won’t help!”

Rohan and Bhoomika calmed down,
“You’re right…”

The group started searching for clues.

They walked far…

They had no hope left.

Until

Aditi called out,
“Guys! Come here!”

They rushed toward her…

And saw…

A temple.

“A temple… in a desert?” said Mohan.

Curious, they stepped inside.

Inside, it was cool and beautifully decorated.

But…

No one was there.

Mohan said,
“Let’s split into pairs and search.”

Aryan replied,
“And who said we’re following your plan?”

The others said,
“We are.”

Aryan sighed,
“Fine… just this once.”

They split into pairs and searched.

Time passed…

Minutes turned into hours…

They grew tired and came back to the main hall.

Just as they were about to sleep—

Aryan shouted,
“GUYS! I FOUND THE EXIT!”

Everyone rushed toward him.

He opened a hidden door…

A long white hallway appeared.

Chapter – 3

“No way… all that for this?” said Aditi.

“Don’t lose hope… there’s a door at the end,” said Aryan.

They walked through the hallway…

Finally reaching the door.

As it opened—

They stepped into a robotic city.

“Woah, so cool!” exclaimed Mohan.

Suddenly…

A robotic voice echoed,
“UNAUTHORIZED HUMANS DETECTED”

The group froze.

“Uh… guys… I don’t think we’re supposed to be here…,” said Naina.

Flying robots surrounded them.

“IDENTIFY YOURSELVES,” one said.

Aryan nervously replied,
“Umm… we’re just visitors?”

“ERROR. ERROR.”

Red lights flashed.

“RUN!” shouted Rohan.

They ran as lasers fired behind them.

“THIS WAY!” a small broken robot appeared.

“Should we trust it?” Bhoomika asked.

“We have no choice!” said Aditi.

They followed it and hid in a building.

The robot said,
“I am K-7… and you are not from this time.”

“Not from this time?” said Rohan.

“You are in the year 3025,” said K-7.

The group was shocked.

“You time travelled.”

Chapter – 4

The group was shocked…when the robot said “time travelled”. Aditi says “Theres no way! How could we possibly time travel.” The robot says “The rock that you touched, was not any normal rock…It was a magical rock, made to time travel…And that’s why, you guys are here. Whoever touched the rock, may have touched it on purpose…”

The group looks at Bhoomika

“What I didn’t touch it on purpose, it looked unique. Plus, why would I touch it, I’m scared myself, I didn’t even know we would be here…” Everyone believes Bhoomika…

The group moves forward, to get rid of the obstacles in their way, quickly. Suddenly, many robots stand Infront of them. The robots say…

“CHARGE!”

And soon, all the robots fall on top of the kids, each robot piling over the other…

The group signals K-7 to help them, but…

“YOU FELL INTO MY TRAP, HAHAHA!! THERES NO WAY TO ESCAPE NOW.” Says K-7

The whole groups in shocked but, they knew this would happen, and they already had a plan to deal with it…

Soon, the group said… that they won all smirking, and the robots soon started to stand up, they all were surrounded by robots in a circle. “YES! I finally won!!!” said K-7

The group smirked because they knew, they weren’t going to give up THIS easily. “Nice plan, K-7, but we humans are creative, I think you forgot, your ‘robot controlling tab?” says Aryan…

“Theres, NO WAY!!! How did YOU people find it, ROBOT ARMY TAKE ACTI- “

“Not so fast, ‘system-de-activate’”

Before the robots could charge at them, they all slowly stop working. And starts moving forward…

“What now?” asked Aryan. The group was confused and they didn’t know what to do, since there was no one to guide them to get out of here…They hadn’t discussed, what will happen when their plan is in action….

As everyone, was on the verge of giving up, suddenly…

“IDEA!!!!” shouted Naina…

“Huh?” the other five exclaimed

“We still have the robot controlling tablet? Right?” says Naina

Everyone nods…

As Naina starts explaining her plan, Aryan switches the tablet on, and checks where the robots hid the key…The key was in the center inside the…Robot tower…

Chapter – 5

“How do we plan on breaking the tower?” asks Rohan.

“There must be a way to get the key without breaking the tower. The robots must have a secret way to get the key out, but again, we have a 50/50 chance that were wrong or were right.” Says Mohan…

The group pairs up into two, and starts searching for a secret code around the Robot city…. seconds turns into minutes, minutes to hours, and soon hours would turn into DAYS.

As the group meets up at the centre of the city, they all get tired, and the soon its night time…

“I really think we should sleep, it’s been enough searching, we should really rest for now. Well search for clues tomorrow…” says Aditi.

“But- what if something happens while were asleep? We never know…” says Mohan. Everyone is feeling sleepy, and they should really rest, but they don’t know what will happen while they are asleep, so the group decides to go to the robot tower…

When they reach the robot tower, they try to search for the exit keys…

Hours slowly pass by and, there’s no sign of the key. Aditi says

“We should- “before Aditi can say something, Rohan cuts Aditi off

“Guys, in the robot controlling tablet, we saw that the key is in centre of the tower. So, there must be a way of getting the key without breaking the tower, which leads to that, there is a hidden feature in the robot controlling tablet, to get the key out!”

Rohan grabs the tablet, and checks for the hidden feature in the tab….

“AHA! Found it!”

As Rohan, presses the feature, the key slowly comes out from the middle of the robot tower. Mohan grabs the keys, and as the key is in his hand, the same white, plain, boring hallway opens…

“WE DID IT!!!” says Bhoomika

They all walk through the hallway, and finally reach the other end of the door…

As the door opens, they return to their camp…

The next morning, the others ask where they were, the group didn’t have an answer, so they got a camp punishment…
