Vande Bharat Express Essay - Little Authors

My Trip on the Vande Bharat Express from Kasaragod to Trivandrum

Last week I went on one of the most exciting train journeys of my life! My parents planned a trip from Kasaragod to Trivandrum to meet with our relatives. Instead of going by car which we normally do we chose to travel on the famous Vande Bharat Express. I had seen this train online on YouTube before, it’s one of India’s fastest and most modern trains. So when I found out we were going on it, I was super excited!

We reached the railway station early in the morning. The train arrived on time and looked amazing in white and blue in color, very clean and shining like new. As soon as we entered, I was surprised at how beautiful and modern the inside looked. The seats were soft and wide and we even had a tray table like in airplanes. I sat near the window and was ready to enjoy the view!

The train started moving and picked up speed quickly. I was amazed at how quiet and comfortable the ride was. Outside the window, lush green fields, tall coconut trees, rivers, hills and small villages. We passed stations like Kannur, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kollam super quick.

Now let me tell you about one of my favorite parts the food! Usally when we travel by car Mom would pack lunch and snacks which we used to eat during our journey. On the train soon after we started breakfast was served. It came in a neat warm box with soft idlis ,sambar, chutney and upma. We also got juice and prepacked tea. Later we were given snacks and finally lunch, wverything was fresh, hot and delicious. The staff was very polite and wore uniforms. They served everyone nicely, just like in a hotel.

During the journey, I also watched a movie on my tablet and read a comic book. But most of the time, I was just looking out of the window and enjoying the ride. The train had automatic doors, clean washrooms and even announcements in Malayalam, English and Hindi. I felt really proud that India had built such an awesome train.

After around eight hours, we finally reached Trivandrum Central. Though I was a bit tired, I didn’t want the journey to end. It was such a fun, fast and smooth ride! I learned so much about the places we passed and saw Kerala’s natural beauty in a whole new way.

This was the longest Vande Bharat route in India and I felt very lucky to travel on it. I hope I get to go on another Vande Bharat journey soon maybe to a new state! I’ll always remember this amazing trip with a big smile.
