The Three Little Pigs
Once upon a time, there were little pigs named Penny, Pip and Pogo. They set out to build homes of their own in the heart of the Whispering Woods.
Penny, always in a hurry, built her house out of straw. It was quick and easy and she had lots of time left to nap in the sun.
Pip, a bit more careful built his house out of sticks. It took longer than straw but he felt a little safer.
Pogo, the thinker of the trio built his house out of bricks with a strong door and even a chimney. It took him days, but he was proud of his work.
One day, a mysterious grey wolf came wandering into the forest wearing dark sunglasses and carrying a large cookbook.
“I’m not just any wolf” he said with a sly smile. “I’m Chef Wolfgang! I’m searching for the world’s tastiest secret ingredient and I heard it might be… pig!”
The pigs panicked!
He went to Penny’s house and said “Little pig, little pig, let me come in!”
“Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!”
“Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house in!”
The straw house flew away like dandelions in the wind! Penny squealed and ran to Pip’s house.
The same thing happened at the stick house it crashed down in a pile of twigs. Penny and Pip ran to Pogo’s brick house.
But this time the wolf couldn’t blow it down.
So he tried a trick. He climbed onto the roof and slid down the chimney!
But Pogo had been cooking a big cauldron of soup for dinner. As the wolf dropped in, he landed SPLASH! right into the hot pot!
But instead of screaming the wolf licked his lips.
“Delicious! This broth is amazing! What’s in it?”
Pogo blinked. “Just veggies, herbs and a dash of honey.”
The wolf’s eyes sparkled. “THAT’S IT! The secret ingredient I’ve been hunting for!”
Turns out Chef Wolfgang wasn’t trying to eat the pigs he was just searching for flavour. He wanted to win the Jungle Cooking Contest but needed a secret recipe.
In the end the pigs forgave him and the four of them opened a cozy forest restaurant called “The Huff & Puff Cafe”
It became famous for its soup and its four chef.
