My Childhood

One day, while I was having dinner, I found myself reminiscing about my childhood. When I was little, I didn’t know that mosquitoes suck blood for food. Instead, I imagined that after biting us, they would sit somewhere and laugh while they watched us scratch ourselves!

I also used to think that if we made the loudest sound possible, we could call an airplane to stop. I believed that all the vehicles on the road would move aside, and the airplane would land right there to pick us up, just like an auto-rickshaw!

The same logic applied to the metro train. I thought that if we shouted “Metro!” loudly enough, the train would come down, tracks would magically appear on the roads, and it would pick us up. One day, my father explained to me that airplanes land at airports, not on roads. That’s when I realized that metro trains also have designated stations.

Just as I was lost in these memories, I heard someone calling out loudly. Oh! it was my mother, telling me to finish my dinner quickly!
