Through the Seasons
Hat, sunglasses, cotton clothes and shoes,
Out we went drinking cold juice.
So very hot, I’m so wet,
It’s summer, I bet.
Athirst flowers, running out of water,
They beg the Sun, allow the rain to come.
And so it comes…
Clouds crying, thunder roaring,
Sitting besides the window, just watching is boring.
Tip-toe out in the rain,
But I don’t want to get scolded again.
Nature sips its drink,
Floods! Floods! Floods! Anything can sink.
But with winter looming,
My precious leaves are glooming.
So I…
Take out a bucket and a broom,
Out from our old storage room.
To clean up our garden, out we go zoom.
Brush, swipe off, the grandparent leaves,
Mother tree upset, but she believes!
Have no sorrow,
Cause new ones will grow.
Showering snow, skating on ice,
May sound good, but the cold’s not nice!
Building snowman, snowball fight,
Freezing cold,
Out to go, I’m not so bold!
We need blooming flowers, mighty trees,
With green leaves and cool blowing breeze…
Joyful faces, blue skies, sunshine bright
New saplings, a wonderful sight!
Birds singing, butterflies colourful.
So there’s a reason,
Why we have every season!
