My Favourite Cricketer – Rohit Sharma
My favourite cricketer is Rohit Sharma. He is one of the most amazing batsmen in the world and the captain of the Indian cricket team. He makes batting appear so effortless and fashionable. I really enjoy watching him play because he makes batting look so easy and stylish.
Rohit Sharma was born on in Nagpur and he worked very hard from a young age to become a cricketer. Today, people call him the “Hitman” because he hits big sixes and scores lots of runs. Whenever he starts playing his pull shots and cover drives, I get super excited!
One thing I find really cool about him is that he has scored three double centuries in ODI cricket. His highest score is 264 runs, which is the highest score ever in One Day Internationals. That is such a huge achievement! I can never forget watching his big innings on TV with my family.
I also like Rohit Sharma because he is very calm, even in tough situations. As a captain, he doesn’t panic and always thinks smartly. He supports his teammates and encourages young players. This shows he is not just a great player but also a great leader.
Off the field, he seems very simple and humble. Even though he is so famous, he stays grounded and focused. He also works hard on his fitness, which inspires me to stay active and play sports regularly.
In conclusion, Rohit Sharma is my favourite cricketer because he is talented, confident, and hardworking. I hope he continues to score many more centuries for India. I feel proud whenever he plays for our country!
