The Sad Jellyfish
Deep under the blue, shimmering sea lived a tiny jellyfish named Glowin. Glowin was not like the other jellyfish. While everyone else shined brightly, Glowin’s light flickered weakly. Because of this, he always felt sad.
Every morning, he floated near the corals and watched the other jellyfish play. They raced with the waves, danced with the dolphins, and painted the sea with
bright colours.
But Glowin stayed alone in the corner of the reef, thinking, “Why can’t I shine like them?”
One day, a little sea snail named Twirl saw Glowin sitting quietly.
“Why are you hiding here?” Twirl asked gently.
Glowin sighed. “My light is too small. No one will see me if I join the games.”
Twirl thought for a moment, then said, “Light doesn’t have to be big to be special.”
Glowin didn’t believe it.
But Twirl had an idea.
That night, when the sea turned dark, Twirl called all the sea creatures together.
Fish, crabs, starfish—even the shy seahorses came.
Twirl asked Glowin to float in the center.
Glowin was nervous, but he slowly drifted forward.
Then…Twirl whispered,
“Everyone, close your eyes.”
All the creatures closed their eyes tightly. The sea became silent.
“Now open!”
When they opened their eyes, the ocean around them sparkled gently.
The only light came from Glowin.
His little light was soft, warm, peaceful—
like a tiny star that could calm the whole sea.
All the creatures gasped.
“It’s beautiful!”
“It feels so calm!”
“It makes the sea magical!”
Glowin’s heart filled with joy. For the first time, he didn’t feel sad. He understood something important:
A small light can still bring big happiness.
A quiet glow can still brighten someone’s world.
From that day, Glowin became known as “The Little Star of the Sea.”
And whenever anyone felt sad or scared, Glowin would float beside them sharing his soft, gentle light.
Because Glowin finally knew: Everyone shines in their own way
