The Girl and the Tiger
Once upon a time there was a little girl named Priya. She lived in a small village which was near a forest. One day, Priya was walking through the forest when all of a sudden she heard a horrible noise “Roar!” She got scared and quickly looked for a place to hide. She hid behind a tree.
A tiger said, “I am very hungry. I can smell a human.”
The tiger walked behind the tree and saw Priya hiding. It began to chase her. Priya ran as fast as she could, but soon she became tired and couldn’t run anymore.
Just then, she spotted a ladder and quickly climbed it to reach a balcony. The tiger couldn’t climb up, so it cut the ladder with its sharp claws and walked away.
Priya had no idea how to get down. She decided to climb halfway down the broken ladder and jump from there. She landed safely on the ground and quickly made her way out of the forest.
When she reached home, she told her mother everything that had happened.
Her mother said, “You are so brave. I am very proud of you.”
Priya smiled at her mother with gratitude. The whole village praised and encouraged her.
Moral: Always be brave, and do not be scared.
