Jai and Veeru
In an old kingdom lived two friends Jai and Veeru. They loved each other and shared their joys and sorrows. Their friendship was praised by everyone who knew them, “Look at them! What faithful friends!”
One day Jai was tired from working on his field. He returned home and he slept early. Suddenly, he heard a loud banging knock on his door. He woke up with a start and looked outside his window. The sun was going down and night was starting. He saw Veeru banging on the outside door carrying a bag.
Jai ran to the door and opened it.
“What’s wrong? Why are you here so late at night?” he asked.
“I needed to see you, urgently,” Veeru said.
“Has someone been troubling you? Tell me his name.” said Jai
Veeru replied, “No, no one has troubled me.”. Jai asked “Then, do you need money? I have silver and gold. How much do you need?”
Veeru said, “No, my dear. I do not need your silver or gold. I got hot Gajjar Ka Halwa tonight from the Mithai shop, I came running to give it to you before it cools down.”
Moral of the story : True friends always care for each other.
