Essay – My Dad, My Hero
Everyone has someone they look up to. For me, that person is my dad. He is not just my father, he is my hero. He may not wear a cape, but to me he is braver than any superhero in the movies.
My dad is the strongest person I know. Not just physically but also in his heart and mind. He works hard every day to take care of our family. Even when he is tired he never complains. He always finds time to help me with my homework, play with me or tell me bedtime stories. I love listening to his stories, especially the ones from when he was my age.
What makes my dad a hero is the way he treats others. He is kind, honest and always willing to help someone in need. Whenever someone is in trouble, my dad is the first to step forward. He teaches me to do the right thing, even when it’s hard.
One thing I admire most about my dad is how patient he is. When I make mistakes he doesn’t yell. Instead, he explains things calmly and helps me learn from them. He believes in me even when I doubt myself.
My dad also makes me laugh. He has the best jokes even if some are really silly! We have fun doing little things together like fixing things around the house or going for bike rides.
To me, a hero is someone who loves, protects and inspires. That’s why my dad is my hero. I hope one day I can be just like him – strong, smart, kind, and full of love.
