The Evil Curse
It all began in the classroom; the class teacher was doing all those things which every class teacher does in the first period. She opened the laptop and started typing something. Then suddenly, Bella noticed that the smiley sticker on the back of the teacher’s laptop was changing colour! She nudged her partner and asked, “Why is that smiley changing colour?” her partner replied “It’s not changing colour, I am sure you are just seeing things”. She asked everyone around her, but no one could see any changes in the smiley sticker. Bella wasn’t too shocked because she was seeing things a lot lately. She thought that some ghost has cursed her. While recess, she saw a bicycle on the road puking like a human!
She also remembered that before coming to school she saw her whole family was blaring horns like cars, instead of talking or speaking! A few weeks ago, when it all had just started, she had thought it was her wild imagination but then it started to happen a lot and then she started to think, it was some ghost or demon.
She had not told it to anyone about it, except Sniff who was her best friend. He knew it because he thought he could cure Bella with some magic. When she went to meet her friend Sniff after school, he said “I have found a magical place where there are some fantastic wizards, they can help you and tell us what is happening”. He then told Bella that the entrance to the other world was very difficult to find but he finally succeeded in finding it.
Quick! Let’s go to the magical place, cried Bella excitedly. Sniff then told her that the entrance to the magical world is from a tree in his backyard and when we enter the world the time in the real world will stop for us, so we don’t have to worry about it either. They quickly got ready and went into the magical world through the tree.
Everything in the magical world was pink, the sand, the sky, the doors, the walls and even the people! Suddenly everyone gathered around them and said, “Hurray! you are here, we knew you will come Bella! We knew you will come to cure yourself”. After sometime, a person who looked a little different from the others came and gave Bella two gems. He then said, “You are a good and kind-hearted person. That is why, one of the evil ghosts cursed you and you started seeing strange things, but now all the evil ghosts are in the magical prison and by eating this gem you can free yourself from the curse”. He said, pointing to one of the gems. “The other gem is a reward from all of us to you for being a good person” he said. Bella felt very happy, she swallowed the first gem and kept the other gem in her pocket. The other people told her that the gem she kept in her pocket will always stop her from doing bad to others and will help her do good deeds.
Then the odd person turned to Sniff and said “You have proved that you are a true and loyal friend. You did so much for your best friend which shows that you are a very good and helpful person too. That is why I give you this”. He gave Sniff a tiny rock and the other people told him that this small rock will help him to be helpful to each and every person.
Both, Bella and Sniff were very happy. They thanked everyone for the gifts and went back to the normal world. They used their gifts for good deeds only. They did lots of good deeds together and always remained best friends.
